What is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)?+
A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse with specialized education and training in mental health. PMHNPs can assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and provide therapy.
Who is Sandra Obiebi?+
Sandra Obiebi is a board-certified PMHNP with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Southern Illinois University. She is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and New Mexico, and has experience in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings. She founded Yoma Psychiatric Solutions to provide compassionate, accessible virtual mental health care.

Services & Treatment

What conditions do you treat?+
We treat a wide range of mental health conditions in adults (18+), including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, and more.
Do you offer therapy as well as medication management?+
Yes. Sandra provides both therapy/counseling and medication management, as well as comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Many patients benefit from a combination of both approaches.
How long are appointments?+
Initial psychiatric evaluations typically last 60–90 minutes. Follow-up appointments and therapy sessions are generally 45–50 minutes.

Telehealth & Appointments

How does a virtual appointment work?+
Virtual appointments are conducted via secure video conferencing. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and a stable internet connection. We will send you a link before your appointment.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person care?+
Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth is just as effective as in-person therapy and psychiatric care for most mental health conditions. It also offers the added benefits of convenience, privacy, and flexibility.
How do I schedule an appointment?+
You can schedule an appointment by contacting us through our website contact form or by phone. We will work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.
What is your cancellation policy?+
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
